ANNUAL SPORTS DAY HELD WITH GREAT ENTHUSIASM / By Sandeep Mehra Delhi Public School / 12 May 2026 / The Annual Sports Day of Delhi Public School was held on 11 May 2026 in the school sports ground. The event was inaugurated by Olympic medallist Mr P V Sindhu who hoisted the school flag amid enthusiastic applause from over 1500 students and parents. Track-and-field events races relay long-jump and shot-put kept spectators engaged throughout the morning. The 4x100 relay was the day's highlight with the senior boys' team setting a new school record. Sapphire House emerged overall champion winning 27 medals followed by Ruby House with 22. The chief guest distributed the trophies and praised the discipline and sportsmanship of participants. The day ended with a vibrant cultural performance and a vote of thanks by the Principal. The event reaffirmed our school's commitment to all-round development.

TREE PLANTATION DRIVE ON WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY / By Anita Sharma Eco Club Reporter / 6 June 2026 / On 5 June 2026 World Environment Day the Eco Club of Sunrise Public School organised a tree-plantation drive at the school's adopted Yamuna Biodiversity Park. Over 200 students and 30 staff members participated. The Principal Dr Verma flagged off the event at 7 a.m. with a brief speech on the importance of green cover. The participants planted 350 saplings of native species including neem peepal and amla. Each student was assigned the responsibility of monitoring growth of one sapling. NGO 'Green Earth' supplied the saplings and a forest officer demonstrated proper plantation techniques. Refreshments and certificates of participation were distributed. The drive concluded with a pledge to reduce plastic use and conserve water. The students returned with a renewed sense of environmental responsibility.

CAREER COUNSELLING WORKSHOP GUIDES STUDENTS / By Manav Khanna Editor School Magazine / 16 May 2026 / A two-day Career Counselling Workshop was conducted at Modern Public School on 14-15 May 2026 for students of classes XI and XII. The workshop was led by Dr Suman Kapoor a renowned career counsellor along with three industry experts from engineering medicine and design fields. Around 280 students attended in the school auditorium. Day one covered emerging career options post-12th — from traditional engineering and medicine to newer fields like data science design thinking and entrepreneurship. Day two featured personalised counselling sessions where students discussed individual aptitudes and concerns one-to-one with experts. A psychometric aptitude test was conducted free of cost. The Principal in his closing address thanked the experts and urged students to make informed choices. The workshop addressed the anxiety many seniors feel about career paths and provided clarity about the road ahead.

BLOOD DONATION CAMP A GRAND SUCCESS / By Varun Singh Civic Reporter / 23 May 2026 / A Blood Donation Camp was organised in Sector 14 Noida on 22 May 2026 by the Lions Club in collaboration with Apollo Hospital. The camp was inaugurated by the local MLA at 9 a.m. and continued till 4 p.m. Around 350 donors registered including students working professionals and senior citizens. Of these 312 successfully donated a unit of blood after preliminary medical screening. The donors were provided refreshments certificates and a free health check-up. The camp aimed to address the chronic blood shortage in NCR hospitals especially during summer when donation rates fall. Doctors emphasised that voluntary donation saves lives and urged citizens to make it a regular habit. The success of the event has encouraged the organisers to plan a similar camp every quarter. The community spirit displayed was truly heart-warming.

INTER-HOUSE DEBATE COMPETITION ENDS WITH SAPPHIRE'S TRIUMPH / By Riya Sharma Editor School Magazine / 26 May 2026 / The Inter-house Debate Competition of Springdale Senior School was held on 25 May 2026 in the school auditorium. The topic 'Social Media: Boon or Bane' attracted thirty-six participants from the four houses. The competition began at 10 a.m. with the Vice-Principal welcoming the chief guest Dr Asha Khanna noted journalist. Each house fielded nine speakers — five for and four against the motion. Speakers cited statistics quoted research and used wit to support their arguments. The audience erupted in applause when Sapphire's Sumit Verma delivered the closing rebuttal. Sapphire House emerged winner; Diamond House came second. The chief guest announced the trophies and praised the rigour and decency of the debate. The Principal in his closing remarks congratulated all participants for confronting an issue that defines their generation.

INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATED WITH PATRIOTIC FERVOUR / By Aanya Verma School Reporter / 16 August 2026 / The 80th Independence Day was celebrated at St Mary's Senior Secondary School with great enthusiasm on 15 August 2026. The Principal Mrs Renu Mehta hoisted the national flag at 8 a.m. amid the singing of the national anthem by the entire school. Her speech recalled the sacrifices of freedom fighters and urged students to channel their freedom into responsible citizenship. The cultural programme that followed featured a patriotic dance by the senior girls a play on Mahatma Gandhi's Dandi March a band performance and a speech by the Head Boy on 'India at 80'. Students of class IX presented a tableau depicting unity in diversity. The chief guest a freedom-fighter's grandson spoke movingly about preserving the spirit of 1947. Refreshments were distributed. The programme concluded with the Vande Mataram and a march-past by the NCC cadets.
